Please remember that the courts belong to all members and these rules are intended to insure that all members have equal opportunity to use and enjoy them. All rules apply for tennis and pickleball.
1. Conventional tennis attire is required. Black-soled tennis shoes must be “non-marking.”
2. Only players are allowed on the courts - maximum of four players per tennis court. For pickleball play, there may be four players on the court and up to four others sitting/waiting on the sidelines to rotate in. When non-playing people accompany players, it is the responsibility of the players to ensure that players on other courts are not distracted by them. Children under the age of 10 should be accompanied by an adult.
3. Court sign-up:
- The court reservation system is active year-round. Members are not required to sign up for a court on the reservation site but everyone is encouraged to do so. If you walk onto an available court to play and a member arrives stating that s/he signed up for the court online, the court belongs to the member who made the reservation. A reservation for play may be made any time after 7:30am for one hour per membership (not one hour per member), one day in advance. Reservations are to be made in 30-minute increments for one hour for singles and up to two hours for doubles. Exception: members who play singles after 1pm may reserve an hour & a half of court time.
- A group requiring one court for doubles may have one member of the group sign up for 2 hours by using his name and the name of another member in the group. If a group requires 2 courts, then 2 members must sign up. As a courtesy, a group requiring 2 courts is asked to sign up for only one of the front two courts (1 or 2) and to reserve either court 3 or 4 for their second court.
- On the day of play, if a member has signed up for one hour – for singles or doubles - and no one comes onto the court at the end of the hour, the member may play for a second hour.
- Failure to use the court within 10 minutes of the reserved time will result in forfeiture of the hour and the court may then be used by anyone waiting for a court.
- A member can invite up to three guests on a given day; the member must be on the court when guests are playing. All players’ names, including guests, must be listed on the court reservation.
4. NO pets, skateboards, inline skates or scooters are permitted on the courts.
